About Your Rope
This is my rope. It looks kinda fancy because I got it at a seminar that teaches rope techniques. Don't be discouraged, though. You can get regular old rope at a hardware store and it'll be fine for practice. Tie a really big knot on both ends of this rope. The type of knot doesn't matter, but it has to be big enough to be a substatial weight at the end of your rope and strong enough that it'll hold during your training. When you're done, use your left hand to hold one end of the rope to your left shoulder and then hold the other end in your outstreched right hand. Your rope should be just long enough to go from one shoulder to the opposite outstreched hand. If it's too long, tie more knots in it to shorten it. If it's too short, start over.
